Central Battery & Emergency Power System
EXZON Central Battery System for Emergency Lighting means, that the backup power source for the Emergency and Exit Lights and power to critical loads in case of a power outage. A CBS unit consists of a controller, an inverter, a charger, and a battery bank. The battery bank is the heart of the CBS unit, as it stores the electrical energy that can be used when the main supply fails.

Types of batteries used in CBS
One of the most common types of batteries used in CBS units is the Valve Regulated Lead Acid Battery (VRLA). VRLA batteries are sealed and maintenance-free, which means they do not require periodic watering or topping up of electrolytes. They also have a low self-discharge rate and can operate in a wide range of temperatures.
